Background on Jeanie W. Chooey Low

Jeanie W. Chooey Low is a second generation Chinese-American and a native San Franciscan. Graduate of Hip Wo Chinese Academy, Elementary Division. Holder: A.A. Degree in Library Technology from City College of San Francisco and a B.A. Degree in Chinese Studies from San Francisco State University. Employed by the University of California, San Francisco Medical Library.

Panelist, "The Repeal and Its Legacy", A Conference on the 50th Anniversary of the Repeal of the Chinese Exclusion Acts, November 12-14, 1993. Sponsored by the Chinese Historical Society of America and Asian American Studies, San Francisco State University.

Jeanie is currently in business management. Member of: Chinese Historical Society of America and the California Genealogy Society.

Formerly, Chinese Methodist Church, Primary teacher; Hip Wo Drum Corp.; and the Flying Eaglettes.
