Book Description from Back Cover

In the tradition of Ed Young's Caldecott Honor-winning Seven Blind Mice, this ancient fable from the Middle East comes to life in colorful collage art.

Once there was a boy who wanted only one thing: a little bit of knowledge. Where do you find knowledge? From a Grand Master! But the Grand Master wants something first: a carpet. When the boy goes to get one, he discovers: the carpetmaker needs some thread ... the spinner woman needs some goat hair ... the goalkeeper needs a goat ... and so on. "What about me?" each one asks.

Will the boy ever find a way to fill everyone's needs-and get some knowledge for himself? He does!
