Witness how our world was created by Pangu and how human beings were fashioned by Nuwa. Come face to face with famous personalities like Houyi as he battled the 10 suns and various hideous monsters; as well Fuxi, the man behind the Eight Trigrams. Find out why Kuafu chased the sun relentlessly till his death.
Coupled with life-like and intricate drawings by cartoonist Kok Hao Yun, these classical Chinese myths are bound to entertain and educate.
His turning point came in 1988 when he visited Taiwan and Hong Kong. The trip opened his eyes to overseas comics production. He was subsequently invited by the Chief Editor of a comics weekly to work in Taiwan. This later led him to apprenticeship under Cheng Wen, an artist he had long admired. Besides generously teaching him the technical intricacies of drawing, Cheng Wen also inspired him with his discipline and determination.
Kok Hao Yun returned to Malaysia in 1990 and started illustrating for various publishing firms. Best Chinese Myths is his first collaboration with Asiapac Books.
