Background on

Laurence Yep is one of the most respected Asian American authors writing for children today. His award-winning middle-grade novels include the Newbery Honor Books Dragonwings and Dragon's Gate. Mr. Yep grew up in San Francisco and now lives in Pacific Grove, California.

Suling Wang has worked in illustration, animation, and multimedia design for several years. She lives in San Francisco, California.
