Their second book in the series, Fables from the Sea, also won two Po'okela awards in 2001, including Excellence in Illustration. After graduating from Leilehua High School, she attended Stanford University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts with distinction. Leslie then obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Currently serving as a district court judge in Honolulu, Leslie resides with her husband, Alan Van Etten, and their sons, Justin and Taylor, who provide endless inspiration and love.Kathleen Wong Bishop is a graduate of Roosevelt High School and Stanford University. She resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband, David, and their three children, Lisa, Daniel, and Rachel. Caring for her family brings her much joy.
