Hi AACP Blog Readers.

I just wanted to mention that I made some corrections to the article Tetris and Its Connection to Asian American History. I originally wrote that the merger happened in 1997 when I meant to write 1987. Also, I thought I read in some other article that the merger happened in 1986. It was some time towards the end of 1986 or beginning of 1987. I can't remember exactly, so if someone is reading this for historical accuracy, sorry about that. It's definitely not 1997.

I've also added some other fixes and additions, including a link at the end of the article to a website (called Mobygames.com) that has credit information for video games. It's kind of like the IMDB.com for the game industry. Thanks for letting me know about that Gary (Poon).

Hello AACP Newsletter Blog Readers.

Happy September! I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day both here and in our newsletter, but didn’t get to do that. I hope you all had a good one.

Good luck to all the students heading back to school. We hope you learn a lot this year. In the long run, what’s important is what you learn and retain, not so much the grades. And learning how to learn and always continuing to learn is just as important to your future.

On to our quick messages - you can now get to our August newsletter from this page – here's the link.

There’s a lot of good stuff in this newsletter, I’ve gotten some positive feedback on the articles. We hope you’ll enjoy reading our interview with mystery author Scott Kikkawa and our article on the connection of Tetris to Asian American history.

We have some great featured books including ten mystery novels, four language learning books, and some children’s books that include books on the mid-autumn moon festival. Please check these books out.

If you’re reading this before or during the Midori Kai Arts and Crafts Boutique on Sept. 9, please join us there. We have children’s book author Judith Kajiwara signing her book Silly Green Mask.

That’s all for now. Hope to see you at Midori Kai.

Bye.
