Happy New Year AACP Blog Readers!

It’s the Lunar New Year tomorrow. For Vietnamese, it is the year of the cat. For everyone else that follows this lunar calendar, it's the year of the rabbit.

One of the things that usually got me out of my post holiday (Christmas and the other New Year :) blues was the celebration of Chinese New Year. The Lunar New Year usually falls somewhere between January 21 and February 20. This year’s Lunar New Year is about as early as it gets and it only happens every 19 years.

I won’t spend too much time writing this because I still have things to do in preparations for the celebration.

We’ve updated this page to link to our latest newsletter – January 2023. Have a look.

This is our annual January poetry month feature newsletter. This year we have an interview with award winning poet Amy Uyematsu.

For our other article we have some poems from poet Frances Kakugawa, more poems from Amy Uyematsu, and some contributions from a newsletter reader and AACP staff. We hope you enjoy the article.

For our featured books, we have some books for the Lunar New Year and some poetry books. Check them out.

That’s all for now. Have a Prosperous and healthy New Year!

Bye.
