Hello AACP Newsletter Blog Readers.
Happy Easter!
For those of you that only read the AACP newsletter online, you’ve missed a lot. Apologies for not posting the February and March newsletter until now. The articles for these two newsletters are listed above.
At the time of this writing, we are in the middle of our preparations for the Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE) Conference in Anaheim, which starts on April 12. Exhibitors like AACP will participate in the conference on April 13 and 14.
If you are a conference attendee and are reading this blog for the first time because you saw us at the conference, welcome and thanks for coming. You can get an idea of some of the things that we’ve covered in the last eight months by scanning the newsletter article list above.
Each of our newsletters also contains a list of featured books. Some of the months, we have special book selections based on a theme. For example our, February newsletter featured books on Ramadan, Holi, and the Japanese American Internment (Ramadan andHoli because they occurred near the date of the release of our February newsletter and Japanese American Internment related books because February 19th marked the anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066). For our March newsletter, we featured some books for Women’s History Month.
Normally I may go into more details about the article that we wrote for the most recent newsletter. However, I don’t have time to write more. Please feel free to read the articles listed above and if you like, subscribe to get the AACP newsletter emailed to you.
That’s all for now.
Hope you all have a wonderful spring!
Leonard Chan
